What Can I Do Now?

Until September 15, 2024 when the rally registration opens you should do several things:

• Make sure your Escapees membership will still be active through February 2025.

• Make sure you Chapter 8 membership is also active for the 2024-25 membership year.

• Make sure your country’s passport will be current for at least six months after the end of the rally.

• Read as much as you can about travel down the Baja Peninsula so that you can better appreciate all that you will see and do on the rally.

• Maybe take a Spanish lesson or at least learn commonly used phrases for conducting business such as buying gas or diesel, food, beverage and accommodations.

• Learn the difference between USA traffic signs and those in Mexico.

• Get your RV ready for adventure on a 2,000+ miles adventure in Mexico.

• Start investigating the cost of Mexican vehicle liability insurance for any vehicle you take across the border. 

• Investigate and contribute to the other online resources available on our website.

• In December make sure you have sufficient medical prescriptions to cover your needs while in Mexico.

• Check into the Chapter 8 website periodically for future rally updates. 

• Buy a good map of the Baja Peninsula and bring your GPS receiver.

• Try some uniquely Baja recipes.

• Invite your fellow RV friends to join you on this exciting trip south of the border!
